The top 5 lessons I've learned from the video: When doing an interview with someone, get b-roll of them or a person doing the task. When filming have headphones because if not you never know what the video could sound like till you get back. To make professionally looking stories and packages you need a camera, tripod, microphone, headphones, and media. There are 3 different kinds of shots in the world of journalism, wide, medium and tight shots. Wides shots give an overall feeling of the setting and surrounding. medium shots give a little less setting and a little more detail. Tight shots give really nice detail, that you can't get form a medium or wide shot. Sequences are editing wide medium and tight shots together. The rule of thirds helps make your videos more appealing. In the rule of thirds, put your character on the crosshairs, but not in the middle.
